Why you need to use certified seeds ?

As farmers , why do we need to use certified seeds in place of Farm saved ? 
Certified seeds are  handled under procedures acceptable to the Department of Agriculture and Forestry to maintain satisfactory genetic purity and identity. In this case Kenya

Plant Health Inspectorate Services  ( KEPHIS) regulate this. 

Why certified seeds?
1. They are high in genetic purity 
2.High in germination and vigor
3. Good quality- free from diseases , damage or immature seeds.
These certified seeds are of pure cultivars and production is very high compared to farm saved seeds.
Why not Farm saved seeds ?
1. May be damaged 
2. Harvested immaturely
3. Low quality
4. Impure cultivar
5. Uncontrolled genetic vigour
6. Inability to produce in line of genetic value
