Tree Planting Day
In the effort to afforestation program towards the government plan to plant 15 billion trees in the next ten years, our team led by Board Chairperson, Hon. Wangui Ngirici and the General Manager Simlaw Seeds, Mr. David Kiplagat, representing partners were Equity Bank Kenya and the Lions International among other team present, joined the locals in a tree planting activity at the Thiba Dam-Kirinyaga County hosted by the Governor, Hon. Anne Waiguru
Trees are essential for our planet and our well-being, they provide us with clean air, fresh water, and shade they also help to prevent erosion and protect our biodiversity

• Trees absorb CO2 and major Greenhouse gases from the atmosphere this reduces air pollution and improves air quality
• Trees help to conserve water through their roots
• Trees help to regulate the water cycle which is essential for agriculture and other human activities.
• Trees provide shade and reduce heat.
• Trees can help to cool down places of living and make them more livable
• Planting trees can help to protect our biodiversity and create a healthier environment for everyone
